Physician Oversight
Dermatology and dermatologic surgery services at Longevity Medical Institute are overseen by Dr. Scott Ross, MD, Chief of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Scott M. Ross, MD, is a U.S. board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon with more than 40 years of clinical experience. As one of the exceptionally few physicians fully licensed to practice in both the United States and Mexico, Dr. Ross brings a level of dermatologic care to Los Cabos that is truly unmatched.
What makes Dr. Ross especially rare is his dual mastery in both medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery - a combination that includes oncologic skin surgery, aesthetic surgical procedures, and advanced techniques such as hair transplants and body contouring. This unique breadth of expertise places him among a small global cohort of dermatologic surgeons who are equally skilled in diagnosing complex skin conditions, removing cancers, and performing high-level cosmetic refinements.
As Chief of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at Longevity Medical Institute, Dr. Ross contributes to the institute’s integrative care model with services that span full-body skin cancer screenings, mole mapping, surgical excision of malignant and benign growths, hair restoration, liposuction, and breast-related surgeries.
Trained at Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Ross completed his dermatology residency at Boston University Medical Center and Worcester City Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery - highlighting his comprehensive credentials across both clinical and cosmetic disciplines.
Before joining Longevity Medical Institute, Dr. Ross founded top-performing dermatology and surgical practices in Minnesota and Arizona, and held senior hospital appointments at Fairview Health, Abbott Northwestern, Children’s Minnesota, and HonorHealth. Over the course of his career, he has treated more than 30,000 patients spanning medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology.
As the only U.S. board-certified dermatologist licensed to practice professionally in Mexico and residing seasonally in Los Cabos, Dr. Ross offers expert in-clinic care from November through April. During the months he is away, he remains fully available to patients via telemedicine consultations - ensuring seamless continuity of care and year-round access to his rare level of expertise.
