Dr. Kirk Sanford is a multifaceted professional with a background in healthcare and financial services. He graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College in 1992, with a strong foundation in exercise physiology and nutrition that shaped his holistic approach to health. Although his career later shifted toward fintech entrepreneurship and the building of several highly successful companies, his connection to healthcare remained strong due to his unwavering belief that regenerative therapies represent the future of medicine.

For the past seven years, Dr. Sanford has been a passionate advocate for stem cell research, integrating these groundbreaking therapies into his own health regimen. Dr Sanford is a member of the Mexican Council of Stem Cells for Therapeutic and Research Purposes, the Mexican College of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, and the International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy (ISCT). He is certified by the International Society for Stem Cell Applications. Through his strategic leadership and partnerships with doctors who are leading experts, LMI is transforming health and redefining age. His team is setting new standards for regenerative medicine and anti-aging therapies, including introducing the first AI-powered MRI in Mexico for advanced diagnostic care and cancer screening.

Dr. Felix Porras brings over four decades of distinguished medical experience to LMI, where he leads with a profound dedication to patient outcomes. Dr. Porras holds a medical degree from Universidad Veracruzana and completed advanced surgical residencies at Yale Hospital in the United States and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in England. Dr Porras has managed tens of thousands of patient cases and surgeries over his career, ranging from routine cases to the most complex conditions. His extensive background across both traditional and regenerative therapies enables him to address a wide array of patient needs with a personalized approach rooted in expertise and empathy.

Dr. Porras also serves as Vice-President of the IATA Medical Group, and is a recognized authority on aerospace and aeronautical medicine. His expertise in this specialized field has made him a sought-after consultant, advising on medical protocols to support the unique health requirements of aeronautical professionals. This role has further cemented his reputation as a leader in clinical innovation and patient safety standards.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Porras is equally passionate about the arts. A lifelong musician, he has dedicated much of his free time to conducting and leading local orchestras, bringing his leadership skills from the clinic to the concert hall. His musical pursuits highlight his commitment to creativity and discipline – qualities that influence his approach to both patient care and medical research. By blending science with artistry, Dr. Porras embodies a holistic approach to healing that resonates deeply with his patients and colleagues alike.

Dr. Fergie Berenice Martínez López, MD, is the Chief of Regenerative Medicine at LMI, bringing a strong background in patient-centered care and advanced medical practices to the team. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) and, over the past three years, has dedicated her time to developing protocols and administering stem cell treatments for a wide range of patient conditions. Dr. Fergie has become an expert in regenerative medicine.

Her extensive experience includes positions at renowned clinics such as Soluciones Médicas RODA and Hospiten Cabo San Lucas, where she excelled in diagnostics, patient communication, and innovative regenerative approaches. Additionally, her comprehensive training included internships at IMSS and CESSA Chignahuapan, which solidified her commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Dr. Hugo Ramos Hernández is a distinguished expert in MRI imaging, ultrasound, and radiology, with over 20 years of experience in advanced diagnostic imaging and orthopedic care.

Dr. Ramos graduated from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) and completed postgraduate studies at the Universidad de Guanajuato (UG) and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), institutions consistently ranked among the top universities globally for medicine, research, and higher education. He further specialized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the prestigious Instituto Nacional de Neurología y Neurocirugía, Mexico's leading center for neurology and neurosurgery.

In addition to his radiology expertise, Dr. Ramos holds a specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology, making him uniquely qualified to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions. He is renowned for his work in sports medicine, joint health, and regenerative therapies, providing cutting-edge treatments for joint degeneration, sports injuries, and trauma-related conditions.

Dr. Janine Zamitiz is a globally trained physician and master aesthetic specialist who brings over a decade of medical, aesthetic, and regenerative expertise to her role as Chief of Anti-Aging and Aesthetics at Longevity Medical Institute. With a uniquely international background and a passion for transformative, patient-centered care, Dr. Zamitiz stands at the forefront of integrative aesthetic medicine.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the prestigious Autonomous University of Guadalajara (UAG) - one of Latin America’s most respected medical schools, known for its world-class clinical training and global alumni network. Her early education was grounded in immersive hospital rotations across core disciplines including surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, and emergency care.

Driven to elevate her expertise in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Zamitiz completed dual master’s degrees. A Master’s in Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine from TECH Technological University, in collaboration with the Universitat de Barcelona, a leading European institution in clinical sciences and a Master’s in Aesthetic Medicine from the Pan American Institute of Scientific Professionals (IPPC) in Zaragoza, recognized for its advanced training in cosmetic dermatology and anti-aging techniques.

Her reputation for excellence was refined during her tenure as an Aesthetic Physician at Canyon Ranch, one of the world’s most prestigious luxury wellness institutions. In this elite setting, Dr. Zamitiz provided personalized, high-level aesthetic care to discerning global clientele.  

Fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, Dr. Zamitiz is an active member of the Mexican College of Aesthetic Medicine and Longevity (COMMEL) and a recognized participant in global scientific congresses, including IMCAS Americas, the Pan American Congress of Aesthetic Medicine, and numerous international forums on dermatology, longevity, and regenerative therapies.

Dr. Scott M. Ross, MD, is a U.S. board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon with more than 40 years of clinical experience. As one of the exceptionally few physicians fully licensed to practice in both the United States and Mexico, Dr. Ross brings a level of dermatologic care to Los Cabos that is truly unmatched.

What makes Dr. Ross especially rare is his dual mastery in both medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery - a combination that includes oncologic skin surgery, aesthetic surgical procedures, and advanced techniques such as hair transplants and body contouring. This unique breadth of expertise places him among a small global cohort of dermatologic surgeons who are equally skilled in diagnosing complex skin conditions, removing cancers, and performing high-level cosmetic refinements.

As the only U.S. board-certified dermatologist licensed to practice professionally in Mexico and residing seasonally in Los Cabos, Dr. Ross offers expert in-clinic care from November through April. During the months he is away, he remains fully available to patients via telemedicine consultations - ensuring seamless continuity of care and year-round access to his rare level of expertise.

Dr. Romero is a distinguished facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and completed his postgraduate specialization in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at La Salle University in Mexico City. His career trajectory reflects a dedication to advanced surgical technique, facial aesthetics, and patient-centered innovation.

Dr. Pedro Ortiz is a distinguished dental surgeon, board-certified endodontist, and clinician in oral and maxillofacial procedures with over 25 years of experience. He specializes in advanced dental microsurgery, regenerative endodontics, and biologically based oral restoration. As Chief of Regenerative Dentistry at Longevity Medical Institute, he leads a new era in dental healing—anchored in regenerative biologics like stem cells and exosomes, alongside precision digital technologies.

Dr. Ortiz earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and completed his specialty training in Endodontics at the Universidad Tecnológica de México (UNITEC). Certified by the Consejo Mexicano de Endodoncia, A.C., he is widely recognized for his leadership in biologically integrated dentistry.

In addition to his endodontic specialization, Dr. Ortiz has advanced training in implantology and bone and tissue graft techniques. He blends surgical precision with a regenerative approach focused on long-term tissue vitality and functional healing.
