Introduction
Yomira Avilez serves as Chief of Biotechnology Laboratory at Longevity Medical Institute, where she oversees laboratory operations supporting stem cell, exosome, and NK cell therapies. She is a Pharmaceutical Biochemist trained at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, with additional Lean Sigma Black Belt certification that strengthens her focus on standardized processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement.
She held senior leadership roles at ITC, one of Mexico’s most respected biotechnology laboratories and our laboratory partner, serving as Laboratory Head for the Baja California Sur branch and Operations Manager for the Tijuana branch. In these roles, she built extensive expertise in cell culture environments, laboratory coordination, and the execution of controlled biologic workflows. Her background also includes experience in clinical and analytical laboratories, pharmaceutical quality operations, and reproductive laboratory settings, giving her a strong foundation in sterility standards, documentation, and biologic handling.
At Longevity Medical Institute, she leads the technical oversight and quality assurance of stem cell, exosome, and NK cell operations, ensuring consistent, scientifically grounded laboratory practices that support safe and effective patient care.
