Several therapies sit alongside cellular treatment, each aimed at improving the conditions in which repair happens. Their evidence varies, and it is worth being specific about that.
Several other technologies round out the regenerative ecosystem, each working in its own way to support the body's healing systems. A few deserve a plain introduction. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or HBOT, is among the most distinctive. Unlike a drug or a cell therapy, it introduces no new substance into the body. It works with something every cell already depends on — oxygen — by changing how that oxygen is delivered to the tissues. IN PLAIN TERMS Some construction tasks simply go faster when you flood the site with extra supplies. HBOT works on a similar principle — saturating the body with more oxygen than usual to support the energy-hungry work of healing. Photobiomodulation — the therapeutic use of specific wavelengths of light — is another support being studied for its effects on cellular energy and recovery. Molecular hydrogen is being explored as a selective helper that may neutralize certain harmful byproducts while leaving useful ones alone. And senolytics represent an emerging strategy aimed specifically at clearing out the worn-out, lingering cells we met earlier among the hallmarks of aging. For all of these, the framing is the same one that runs through this book. Each is an area of real interest and active study, not a proven miracle. What makes them valuable is not any single one in isolation, but the way they fit into a coordinated, comprehensive strategy — supporting the body's healing from several directions at once.
