ALS Update: Gina Derry’s Day 21 - OMG Moment!

If you’ve been following Gina’s journey, you saw her Day 3 and Day 6 videos straight from the clinic - but now, 21 days in, we just had a virtual check-in with her and her husband Jason, and… WOW.

If you’ve been following Gina’s journey, you saw her Day 3 and Day 6 videos straight from the clinic - but now, 21 days in, we just had a virtual check-in with her and her husband Jason, and… WOW.

After post-treatment of stem cells, exosomes, peptides, and nutraceuticals at Longevity Medical Institute, Gina is:

  • No longer using her wheelchair
  • Feeling noticeably stronger and more energetic
  • Experiencing fewer muscle fasciculations
  • Doing more around the house - including lifting 5 lb weights
  • Surprising Jason by buying an eBike to get moving again!

Yes, she’s still continuing speech therapy. Yes, it’s still early in the stem cell process. But make no mistake - this is a moment of hope. And momentum.

A Family's Journey Through ALS and the Promise of Regenerative Medicine

Three weeks ago, Gina Derry arrived at Longevity Medical Institute with her family - and with ALS, one of the most devastating diagnoses in neurology. What has unfolded since is not just a clinical case, but a story of courage, connection, and a relentless pursuit of time, quality of life, and hope.

A Look Back: What Brought Gina to Us

Gina is a 51-year-old mother, wife, and fighter from Iowa, living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or also known as Lou Gehrig's - a progressive neurodegenerative disease that slowly paralyzes the body while leaving the mind tragically intact. The average life expectancy post-diagnosis is just three years. Most treatment options are palliative, and access to meaningful, regenerative therapies in the U.S. is extremely limited except for clinical trials.

But Gina and her family weren't ready to accept "nothing more can be done." Backed by her husband, children, and extended family, Gina came to LMI not just for treatment - but for a chance. A chance to slow down what ALS speeds up. A chance to speak longer. To move longer. To be here, longer.

Inside the Treatment: Why It Mattered

Over a two-week span, Gina received an integrative and personalized regenerative protocol that included:

  • IV stem cells, exosomes, peptides, and nutraceuticals to support her systemic health, reduce inflammation, and prepare her body for neurological healing.
  • An intrathecal stem cell injection, delivering advanced biologics directly into the cerebrospinal fluid to get to the spinal cord and brain- where ALS does the most damage.

Our goal was never to offer false hope or cures - but to fight for what can be preserved, restored, and protected. And to let Gina's body and spirit do what they're designed to do: adapt, heal, and connect.

What We Witnessed: The Power of Progress

In just the first week of treatment, Gina's voice - once reduced to faint whispers - began to return. Her posture improved. Her energy lifted. And her spirit shined through in a way that was impossible to ignore. These weren't anecdotal "impressions." These were observable, tangible changes that reflected something deeper: neurological resilience beginning to stir.

Now, three weeks into her journey, Gina is beginning to show more signs of real, tangible progress.

  • No longer confined to her wheelchair, she now moves through life with renewed independence.
  • She's feeling stronger, more energized, and noticeably more engaged in her day-to-day life.
  • Muscle fasciculations, the constant twitching that once disrupted her rest, have diminished.
  • Around the house, she's doing more than she has in months, even lifting 5-pound weights and reclaiming a sense of physical confidence.
  • In one unexpected (and joyful) moment, she surprised Jason by buying herself an e-bike - her way of saying, "I’m not done moving.”

It’s these moments that remind us why we do this work. And a moment that offers something every ALS family needs: hope grounded in action.

Why We Share This

This isn’t just about one patient or one disease. It’s about every family who’s been told “there’s nothing else.” It’s about every patient who wants more than symptom suppression. It’s about a new era of regenerative and precision medicine that doesn’t give up - especially when the fight is hard.

Our work with Gina Derry is one example. But it is also a beacon for what's possible when we combine medical science, patient-centered care, and the unwavering belief that every day matters.

Watch the Journey

We continue to monitor Gina’s progress with hope, humility, and gratitude.

Stay tuned for the next update in Gina’s story. Her fight is not over. But neither is her strength.

From all of us at LMI - thank you Derry Family for your trust, your transparency, and your unstoppable spirit. You’re inspiring the world!

Spotlight: Expanding Hope Beyond ALS

While our regenerative protocols are tailored to support individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), the science behind these therapies extends far beyond a single diagnosis. The same advanced strategies that promote neuroprotection, reduce inflammation, and support neural repair in ALS patients may also provide meaningful benefits to those facing other neurodegenerative conditions—such as Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis.

By targeting core mechanisms of neurodegeneration, our protocols are designed to slow disease progression, improve quality of life, and unlock the body’s innate capacity for regeneration. Whether you or a loved one are navigating ALS or another complex neurological condition, our team is here to offer cutting-edge solutions rooted in science, compassion, and innovation.
